Thick ‘n’ Fast are comedy writing and performing tour de force Cassie Symes and Georgina Thomas. They met while training at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and have been disappointing their lecturers ever since.

Current projects:

  • Christmas thriller feature with Louise Hooper
  • Original TV ideas in development with Rabbit Track
  • Comedy horror short The Van in post-production with Michelle Tofi (Venice Biennale Golden Lion winner), BYOC Films and Northern Town.

Thick 'n' Fast's shorts have been selected for numerous festivals and shortlisted for the Funny Women Awards.

They have toured their live shows, Not Quite and General Secretary, to sellout runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, Aldeburgh Festival and Soho Theatre. "The Scotsman" named them one of ‘Best Duos at the Edinburgh Fringe’. As Artists in Residence at Applecart Arts, they wrote and directed the Christmas pantomime to rave reviews.

Cassie Symes

Cassie made her TV debut with a food fight on Nickelodeon aged 10. She has performed at festivals around Europe, workshopped a show for the National Theatre, directed at the Arcola and Southwark Playhouse and voiced a podcast for Audible. She was recently shortlisted for Gobby Girls’ 11% Club and starred in a five part series on BBC Radio 4, The Power of Guilt. See more of Cassie's work here:

Georgina Thomas

Georgina Thomas

Georgina has appeared in Channel 4's comedy skit The B@it. Other writing credits include 8 out 10 Cats Does Countdown, Celebrity Big Brother and Newsrevue. Georgina has also appeared on BBC1, surprising Danny Dyer behind a castle in full medieval dress; had her vagina exorcised by Arabella Weir and played a gimp in Late Night Gimp Fight — all in the name of comedy.
